Acta Laurel provides professional technology and advisory services, which may include IT consulting, data engineering and analytics, artificial intelligence and automation, cybersecurity advisory, cloud and infrastructure services, software and web development, technical architecture, training, mastermind and advisory programmes, and related professional services.
The exact scope, deliverables, fees, timelines and responsibilities for a particular engagement may be defined separately in a proposal, quotation, statement of work, order form or service agreement.
Where there is a conflict between these website Terms and a separately signed agreement, the separately signed agreement will take precedence for that engagement.
Quotations are valid for the period stated in the quotation. Unless expressly stated otherwise, a quotation does not constitute a binding obligation until it has been accepted by the customer and confirmed by Acta Laurel.
Any changes to the agreed scope may result in additional charges, revised delivery dates or a separate quotation.
Customers agree to pay all fees according to the payment terms stated in the applicable quotation, invoice, subscription, order or service agreement.
Prices will indicate whether applicable taxes or VAT are included or excluded.
Acta Laurel may suspend work or access to services where an undisputed payment remains overdue, subject to applicable law and the terms of the relevant agreement.
Where a customer purchases recurring advisory, mastermind, support or subscription services, access is provided for the period covered by the applicable subscription or agreement.
Membership or access is personal to the customer or authorised customer personnel and may not be transferred, resold or shared with unauthorised third parties.
Specific response times, meeting frequency, support availability and included services will be governed by the applicable service package or agreement.
Unless expressly included in the relevant package, access to communication channels such as Discord, email or messaging services does not constitute a guarantee of continuous or 24-hour support.
Customers are responsible for providing timely, accurate and complete information reasonably required for Acta Laurel to perform the agreed services.
Customers must ensure that they have the necessary rights and permissions to provide Acta Laurel with data, systems, credentials, documents, software or other materials used during an engagement.
Customers remain responsible for their business decisions and for reviewing and approving deliverables before relying on them in production or other critical environments.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Acta Laurel retains ownership of its pre-existing intellectual property, methodologies, frameworks, templates, know-how, reusable software components and other materials developed independently of a specific customer engagement.
Ownership or licence rights relating to customer-specific deliverables will be determined by the applicable proposal, statement of work or service agreement.
Customers retain ownership of materials and intellectual property that they provide to Acta Laurel.
Website content, including text, graphics, designs, branding, logos and original materials, may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or commercially exploited without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
Acta Laurel will use reasonable measures to protect confidential information received from customers and will use such information only as required to provide the agreed services or as otherwise permitted by the applicable agreement or law.
Customers must likewise respect confidential or proprietary information made available by Acta Laurel.
Where additional confidentiality requirements apply, the parties may enter into a separate non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement.
Personal data is processed in accordance with Acta Laurel's Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation where applicable.
Customers must not transmit passwords, private keys, API secrets or other security credentials through channels that Acta Laurel has not approved for the secure exchange of such information.
Acta Laurel services may involve third-party platforms, hosting providers, cloud services, software, open-source software, APIs or other external services.
Acta Laurel is not responsible for failures, changes, outages, price changes or service discontinuation caused by third-party providers outside Acta Laurel's reasonable control.
Third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Acta Laurel will perform professional services with reasonable care and skill. However, unless expressly guaranteed in writing, Acta Laurel does not guarantee specific financial results, business outcomes, revenue increases, cost reductions, regulatory approvals, cybersecurity outcomes, system availability or other particular results.
Recommendations, forecasts, analysis and advisory services depend on the information available at the time and should be considered in the context of the customer's own circumstances and responsibilities.

We may update, modify, suspend or remove website content and services where reasonably necessary.
Users may not use the website, services or Acta Laurel-operated communication channels to engage in unlawful activity, distribute malware, attempt unauthorised access, infringe intellectual property rights, harass other users, distribute spam, or otherwise interfere with the security or proper operation of our systems.
We may restrict or terminate access where these requirements are materially breached.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Acta Laurel will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the use of the website or services, including loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities or data, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Any contractual limitation of liability applying to a professional engagement may be specified in the relevant service agreement.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Either party may terminate services in accordance with the applicable proposal, subscription terms, statement of work or service agreement.
Fees already incurred for services performed, committed resources or approved work remain payable, subject to mandatory consumer rights and applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict rights granted to consumers under mandatory Romanian or European Union consumer-protection law.
Where the customer qualifies as a consumer and enters into a distance contract, statutory withdrawal rights may apply. Further information is provided in our Return and Refund Policy.
These Terms are governed by Romanian law.
The parties should first attempt to resolve disputes in good faith. Where an amicable resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts, without affecting any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law.
Eligible consumers may also have access to alternative dispute-resolution mechanisms operated by the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC). ANPC currently provides a national Soluționarea Alternativă a Litigiilor (SAL) mechanism for consumer disputes.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal requirements. The current version will be published on this website together with its effective date.

Cancellation, Withdrawal and Refund Policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
Acta Laurel primarily provides professional services, consulting, advisory programmes, subscriptions, digital services and customised work. As a result, physical "returns" will generally not apply unless a particular transaction involves physical goods.
1. Professional and Consulting Services
Fees for services already performed are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or otherwise agreed in writing.
If a project is cancelled before completion, the customer remains responsible for fees relating to work already performed and any non-cancellable costs or commitments reasonably incurred for the engagement, subject to the applicable service agreement and mandatory consumer rights.
Any prepaid amount relating to work that has not yet been performed will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement and applicable law.
2. Mastermind, Advisory and Subscription Services
Cancellation terms for mastermind programmes, advisory retainers, memberships and recurring services will be stated in the applicable service description, order, quotation or agreement.
Cancelling a recurring service normally prevents future renewal or billing but does not automatically create a right to a refund for a service period that has already commenced, except where required by law or expressly provided by the relevant service terms.
3. Consumer Right of Withdrawal
If you are acting as a consumer, rather than purchasing on behalf of a business or professional activity, and you enter into an eligible distance contract, you generally have 14 days from conclusion of a service contract to withdraw without giving a reason, subject to applicable statutory exceptions. This right is provided under Romanian consumer legislation implementing EU consumer-rights rules.
If you expressly request that Acta Laurel begin providing a paid service during the 14-day withdrawal period and subsequently withdraw before the service has been completed, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the services already supplied, as permitted by applicable law.
Where the service has been fully performed after you expressly requested performance during the withdrawal period and acknowledged that your withdrawal right would be lost once performance was completed, the statutory withdrawal right may no longer apply.
4. Digital Content
Different statutory rules may apply to digital content supplied without a physical medium. Where applicable, a consumer may lose the statutory withdrawal right once supply begins if the consumer has given the required prior express consent and acknowledged the resulting loss of the withdrawal right.
5. Custom and Customer-Specific Work
Services and deliverables created specifically for a customer's requirements may involve work that cannot reasonably be resold or reused. Cancellation and refund eligibility for such work will therefore depend on the stage of the engagement, work already performed, committed costs and the relevant agreement, while preserving any mandatory statutory consumer rights.
6. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
To request cancellation, withdrawal or a refund, contact:
Email: contact@actalaurel.com
Please provide your:
Consumers exercising a statutory right of withdrawal do not need to provide a reason.
7. Approved Refunds
Where a refund is due, it will be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible and within the period required by applicable law.
8. Business Customers
Statutory consumer withdrawal rights generally apply to consumers, rather than customers entering into transactions for business or professional purposes. Refund and cancellation rights for business customers are therefore principally governed by the applicable quotation, statement of work, subscription terms or service agreement.
9. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any mandatory rights available under Romanian or European Union law.
